The Twelve Labors of Heracles
Driven mad by Hera, Heracles slew his own children. To atone for this horrific act, he was tasked by the Oracle at Delphi to serve King Eurystheus for twelve years. Eurystheus commanded Heracles to perform twelve seemingly impossible feats, known as the Labors. These included slaying the Nemean Lion, capturing the Cretan Bull, and bringing Cerberus, the three-headed hound of the underworld, to the surface. His success solidified his legend as a hero of immense strength and courage.
